The devs behind Dungeon Adventures, Something Awesome Games, started their company way back in 2019. They originally began work on a kickstarter for a co-op PC VR game, which they worked on until 2022. 

During the beta tests, they realised they wanted to create an experience that could capture the handcrafted spirit of a D&D tabletop game of the past. But, without the awkwardness of scheduling game sessions around busy friends, it’s a game you can dive straight into, get lost in the story, and forget about the day’s work.

You become the hero of a thrillingly authentic narrative experience. The devs avoided the trend of procedurally generated stories or randomly generated worlds to purposely design the gameplay to feel more like a movie. An enjoyable linear experience, solo players will surely find the game fun and relaxing but when it’s done, it’s done.

What is Dungeon Adventures?

Dungeon Adventures was started in 2022 and released in July 2024, leaving early access on Meta in October the same year. Each time you load up the game, you start in an inn where you encounter a friendly bard and begin your quest to work on.

There are several different quests to play through. The first being the Caves of Carnassas, a quest with 13 levels that puts you face to face with plenty of challenges and puzzles.

As a first person dungeon crawler, this VR game immerses you in a thrilling experience that transports you into a world filled with dark and mysterious dungeons, treacherous traps, and fearsome monsters.

The game has been designed specifically for Oculus Quest, giving players intuitive and responsive controls that make exploring, fighting, and interacting with the environment feel like second nature. Wield your weapons with deadly precision or execute powerful spells with simple gestures.
