A Mystery is Afoot

Along the way, you meet a variety of new people, which test your patience to say the least. With the complexity of these characters, and your own trauma to work through, Lover’s Enigma isn’t your usual cute and drama-fuelled Otome.

Your mental state is fragile, but those around you pique your interest. Get to know these characters to reveal the secrets they may be hiding behind closed doors. But don’t give yourself away too early, otherwise you might not get the answers you’re looking for.

With an added rhythm game as part of the core mechanics, and multiple endings to reach, Lover’s Enigma pushes the boat out for what to expect when it comes to an Otome title.

An Interesting Cast of Characters

As with any cult, there are mysteries intertwined within, which you slowly unravel as you connect and explore. With 5 main characters to interact with, each one has a unique personality that you must try to navigate.

Firstly, we have Haruki, an exorcist. Due to your trauma, your mother decides to hire an exorcism service as she believes your mental state is something to do with spirits. Haruki is kind, if not a little odd at times, but that’s what makes him so charming.

Your neighbour, Ren, is also part of the main cast. He has a temper and he isn’t afraid to weave his sarcastic tendencies into his speech. He seems nice, but you’re still not too sure about him.

Next up, there’s Ryota, filling the spot for the childhood friend trope. Your mother has been tricked by you and Ryota, as you cook up a plan that sees you both faking a relationship with each other. Due to your history with him, you get along well, though he’s quite a reserved individual.

Lastly, the main character’s deceased husband also appears throughout Lover’s Enigma, mostly to give you context as to what may have happened. The mysteries surrounding his death are making you doubt what the reports say…
