The Lords Mobile & Doomsday: Last Survivors World Championships were hosted by renowned publisher IGG earlier this month – and they went down very well indeed.

The very first SLG International Offline Championships for IGG titles Lords Mobile and Doomsday: Last Survivors, were held in Phuket, Thailand and were streamed live.

Doomsday: Last Survivors, which has recently celebrated its first global launch anniversary, has become a hugely popular zombie survival strategy title with an impressive online element. 

Lords Mobile is eight years old now though, and is a real-time strategy and construction game popular around the world.

The two Championships were truly epic occasions too, finding the best players for each title out there. The epicness was aided by the presence of special guest Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson.

Otherwise known as the “World’s Strongest Man” and famous for being “The Mountain” Ser Gregor Clegane – he also played interactive mini games with the audience during both events.

The Doomsday: Last Survivors World Championship was an offline tournament, with 34 top players from around the world invited to compete. 

Meanwhile the Lords Mobile World Championship pitted twelve of the finest teams around the world against each other. 

There was a massive total prize pool of over $140,000 given out for each championship, consisting of cash rewards, in-game currency and physical merchandise.

Attendees also received prizes including merchandise, US$1,000 worth of in-game currency and a US$200 gift card too. Two lucky spectators also got to walk away with a four-piece set of Apple products worth $3,000 US Dollars. If you watched the livestreams you could nab game codes as well.
