Ash Echoes, the visually stunning gacha RPG, has only been out for a few weeks.

But that hasn’t stopped developer Noctua Games from busting out a huge update, accompanied by a month-long event that will sweep you right through to the other side of Christmas. 

Tomorrow Is a Blooming Day—or version 1.1 to its friends—began on November 28th and is set to run until Boxing Day, bringing with it two new characters and a gigantic opportunity to hoover up rewards. 

But before we tell you about all that, here’s a quick refresher on the game itself for those of you who haven’t been paying attention. 

Ash Echoes is a sci-fi RPG with real-time combat, staggeringly beautiful graphics, and a plot that involves our good friend the multiverse. 

A vast rift called the Skyrift Passage has opened up over Hailin City, causing massive destruction and opening portals to all sorts of nasty places. On the plus side, the rift has also given rise to a race of superbeings called the Echomancers, and they’re on your side. 

You play as the director of S.E.E.D., an organization created to study the Echomancers. And by “study”, we of course mean “send into battle with a vast array of interdimensional goons”.

But there’s more to Ash Echoes and the Echomancers than raw combat. Each one has their own backstory, and the game’s narrative is influenced by events on the battlefield. Ash Echoes is a true RPG, with impactful consequences and rich characters.  

And now, thanks to version 1.1, there are two more of these characters to get to know. 

Scarlett is a biker with a shotgun who dresses like a pirate, and Baili Tusu is a solemn swordsmith with impressive range. Both Echomancers are 6-star, and they come with their own lore, skills, and abilities. 

You can pull “Target Tracing” Scarlett right now, while Baili Tusu will be available from December 12th. 

Plus, throughout the event you’ll be able to take part in the Float Parade, which is just as wholesome as it sounds. All you need to do is wend your way around a carnival collecting gifts, completing tasks, and ultimately unlocking special character interaction.
